The first officer was absolutely furious. That machine had the nerve to hold him down and slip that needle into his muscle when he wasn't ready. Damned automated, cold-hearted, insensitive...
"I apologize for my tardiness, sir." Was the only thing that came from his sapphire lips. Not a trace of his agitation shone through his seemingly impassive composure. "Mental evaluation." he knew it was enough to explain for his absence, though he had to turn away a moment to flinch at the pain in his shoulder. He hadn't taken the machine's advice and rested for a few minutes in his quarters while the chip set itself into his muscle. "Damn..." he let out a breath, taking a moment to breathe. He rolled his shoulder, "Those tests get even more irritating every year, eh?"
As no officers had made it to the bridge yet, Kumarit didn't mind fooling around. After all, they were docked with the Eclipse, weren't they? He took a seat in the Captain's chair, resting his back and shoulders against one armrest, legs crossed over the other. "Goddamn Federation cut your leave as well? Lovely. Now we can just be stuck another year on this metal deathbed together." he spread his arms, looking up at the roof of the ship, "I love you, Antares!" the Andorian shook his head, "But we need some time apart, sweetie."
Kumarit closed his eyes, resting his head on his arms, "Antares and I as having relationship issues again, did you know? Almost made me fall off a catwalk, she did. It was quite rude of her." Andorians were social beings, and loved being with their own kind. Kumarit had been stationed about Fourty two lightyears from the edge of his own system, let alone moon, for several years now, with little contact with his people. The only way he coped with his mounting paranoia and anxiety were pills and drugs given to him by medical. Those drugs made him a bit... Touched in the head. "But again, she's all I got. I have to make it up to her."
Kumarit sighed again, "I told you before, of I don't get leave or find myself someone, I'm marrying Antares. I'm thirty eight and single, and that needs to change."
